Spawned two direct sequels – Samurai’s Destiny and Demon Siege. 

Considered one of the PlayStation 2’s earliest achievements. Being both a commercial and critical success.

Unfortunately pretty short. 

Setting: Feudal Japan. Probably sometime around mid 1500’s in the city of Gifu. ~ Japan

Nice little demon isle

Belligerents: Demons that know martial arts.

Main Character: Samanosuke Akechi

Description: Loosely based on real life Samurai, Akechi Hidemitsu. Samanosuke is a total badass. Basically a trained killing machine he quietly wanders the Earth as a master swordsman looking for worthy adversaries. His stoic nature reinforces his strong drive for justice. 

Weapon of choice: Swords. Definitely swords. But also his mind… because he’s pretty smart. And a badass.

    1. Yeah it’s pretty good. I haven’t played anything but PlayStation 2 for about six months now so I haven’t been spoiled by any really smooth current generation controls. 😂 so id say 16/20 is a true 16 compared to other games of the era. Still strong. ☺️

    1. I’m sure I will eventually. I have a pretty weird relationship with game and movie remakes however. Lol.
